Secrets The Vine Cancun assists the local community through regular donations of clothing and shoes to organizations in need, including those helping children and the elderly.
In an effort to help preserve and protect the local landscape, Secrets The Vine participates in monthly beach clean-ups and the annual clean-up of the Nichupte Lagoon area. Within the resort, Secrets The Vine has implemented programs to conserve water, energy and electricity with the helps of resort guests.
Secrets The Vine participates in Earth Hour, which is hosted by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) on the last Saturday every March. The event encourages businesses and households to turn off all non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change. In addition, the resort held an art auction where all proceeds went to the WWF.
Between the months of June and September, sea turtles begin nesting. Secrets The Vine works to protect the turtles from various predators to ensure a safe nesting season. At the time of hatching resort guests are invited to participate in the Turtle Release where supervised staff and guests guide the turtles safely into the ocean.
